Pork Chop Seasoning

Impress your guests with this secret Pork Chop Seasoning blend!

I’m having a dinner party, and I think you’re all going to love the recipe I’m about to share! The idea came about a few weeks ago, after having dinner at a friend’s house. He’s always the host for gatherings, and as much as we all appreciate his hospitality, I thought it was time to return the favor. So I offered to host the next dinner. But then the nerves hit—what could I cook for a crowd of 12 that would be both simple and impressive? Grilled pork chops were the answer! But how could I make them extra special? That’s when I remembered my go-to pork chop seasoning, a blend of garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, smoked paprika, a touch of cayenne, and some salt and pepper, perfect for creating amazing flavor.

This seasoning mix brings together the best of savory, smoky, and subtly spicy flavors, making the humble pork chop (the centerpiece of my meal) a hit at any dinner table. It’s a deliciously divine and aromatic way to wow your guests. Whether you’re grilling, pan-searing, or baking, the aromatic herbs and hint of heat create a perfectly balanced and irresistible pork chop.

Is Pork Chop Seasoning Healthy?

What’s great about this pork chop seasoning is that it suits just about everyone’s dietary needs! It’s gluten-free, sugar-free, and although it does contain salt, the amount can easily be adjusted. Plus, pork chops are a healthy, lean option when it comes to serving red meat. They’re full of protein, vitamins, and minerals.

How Do I Season Pork Chops?

To use this pork chop seasoning, simply sprinkle over about two teaspoons of the seasoning blend per chop (one teaspoon on each side). Rub it in thoroughly, then let your meat rest for at least 20 minutes before cooking to absorb all the flavor.

FAQs & Tips

How to make ahead and store

In an airtight glass jar, the seasoning should stay good for about 1 year, but you’ll probably use it up a lot quicker! Keep it away from direct light and sources of heat.

What other meats does this seasoning work with?

Try it on other meats like chicken, beef, or even your burger patties for a kick of robust flavor.

Make it sweet

Sometimes, I add brown sugar to my pork chop seasoning blend for a little sweetness and a deeper, more complex taste. If you’re okay with adding sugar to your version of the recipe, I recommend trying this yourself!

Serving Suggestions

This pork chop seasoning works on chops cooked in many different ways: baked, grilled, or even in the air fryer! You can also try the seasoning in other dishes. Add some extra flavor to your vegan Black Bean Burgers, or use it as a keto-friendly dry rub for your Keto Chicken Wings.

I’ll keep you all updated on how my dinner party goes! In the meantime, feel free to share how you’ve put your own spin on this pork chop seasoning with your creative and fun recipes!
